However, there are other studies that have discovered biological hazards in these same so-called healthy chocolates. Unfortunately, these studies have not gained that much attention. Chocolates contain certain chemicals like caffeine, phenylethylamine and theobromine which are known to cause migraines. These chemical compounds change the flow of blood in the brain and induce the release of norepinephrine in people who are prone to migraine headaches.

In addition, chocolate also contains copper, which is known to inhibit the action of certain specific flavonoids. This inhibition could result in vascular degeneration including varicose veins, hemorrhoids, heart disease, stroke, bruising and aneurysm.

Therefore, the next time you read an article on the health benefits of chocolate, take some time to think about all the common biological hazards of consuming chocolate. You could be opening your body to many ailments and diseases just by consuming chocolates on a regular basis.
