Not only would health-conscious people play tennis but also those people who are particular with the incorporation of tennis and Physics.

The most common thing that is used in tennis aside from its equipment is the hits. The common hits that are used are the topspin shot and the backspin shot. These two hits are known to have Physics principles used in it.

The topspin shot is commonly defined as a hit when the racquet is used to slide the ball both over and up at the same time being struck. With the use of this hit, friction is said to take place specifically when the racquet is dragged to the ball. The friction produced between the ball and the strings of the racquet is the main reason why the ball is able to spin towards the opponent.

On the other hand, when the ball hits the floor, it will surely bounce because of the friction also.

After the topspin shot, one can also use the backspin shot which is the opposite of the aforementioned topspin shot. Unlike the topspin shot, the ball is hit by the racquet underneath. The direction of the ball will be the same as topspin.

The next time we see the ball spinning, we would surely know that Physics is working in the game.
