.  To the scholar, it is speculation that brings about answers and rationality into every subject. 

Another danger is being focused on one point of thinking which may be proved to be wrong.  The other danger is it being dismissed as nonsensical and irrelevant to daily life.  

Another danger is limiting the investigations.   One has to keep going deeper and deeper into the realms of metaphysics.  Also as science is constantly moving and evolving, one cannot say that the discoveries are final.  New breakthroughs will give birth to new schools of thought.  One must embrace the old along with the mindset to accept new theologies and views.   

A real danger of metaphysics is the wrong analysis of theories.  It can happen as it is mostly postulation of a philosopher.  One must be more like Immanuel Kant, perhaps in trying to evade groundless dogmatism. 

Another danger is that the summation might seem false to another.  For example, Christian Wolff’s thoughts on ontology were deeply criticized by Immanuel Kant and David Hume.  It took ontology a number of years to be reinstated as a main branch of metaphysics, mainly thanks to W.V.O. Quine, an American Philosopher. 

When we do not adhere to metaphysics we might find ourselves floundering in the realms of reality.
