The outlook that the various topics that psychology comes under are largely classified as cognitive, conative and affective. According to the cognitive outlook, the brain processes information and acts accordingly. This information is largely in regard to what they like and don’t like. Conation, on the other hand, is a motivational outlook when you consider peoples behavioral traits which usually are random and unique to each person. The affective outlook is one in which people respond to stimuli. It is a lot about instinct.
Based on these outlooks there are various studies of different areas of psychology. The main areas are:

• Abnormal Psychology: Study of abnormal behavioral patterns
• Animal Psychology: Digging into a deeper understanding  of how animals minds work
•  Neuropsychology: Study of the influence of the brain of the behavior of the mind
• Child Psychology: The branch of psychology that studies the mental growth of children
• Comparative Psychology: The comparison of the psychology of animals to the psychology of man
• Clinical Psychology: It deals with the treatment of people who have psychological disorders
• Criminal Psychology: It goes in to the understanding of criminal behavior and action.
•  Health Psychology: It is basically the study of the mind and consequent behavior in relation to health.  It basically is divided into body image (how one perceives their identity), body language (bodily communication) and body awareness (how aware the person is about how the body function in conjunction with the mind)
